Description of job:
We have a number of opportunities within our Client base for experienced Commercial Managers. These are highly visible roles within the organisations with responsibility for providing commercial support and expertise to key projects and particularly to Bids. You will represent the Company's position and ensure that bids/contracts are prepared to company standards, making recommendations consistent with the commercial aims of the company and ensuring the integrity of contractual obligations.
There will be a wide range of tasks which may include a combination of the following activities:
- Generating and managing commercial aspects of bids to the MoD
- Generating and managing commercial aspects of proposals to other industry companies
- Negotiating contracts
- Formulating and negotiating Teaming / Partnering Agreements
- Managing the selection of sub-contractors
- Negotiating contracts with subcontractors
- Managing the performance of subcontractors
- Drafting and negotiating software licence terms
- Managing export licences/arrangements
- Advising on offset arrangements for export activities
Must have the following experience:
- Must have a minimum of five years Commercial Management experience within the Defence and Aerospace sectors
- Experience of working with UK MoD and/or overseas Defence customers
- Experience of developing commercial agreements with partner organizations
- Proven leadership, excellent interpersonal and client management skills
- High level of negotiation skills along with strong business, financial and legal acumen.
